From Munich:
- Train: From Munich Central Station (München Hbf), take a train to Berchtesgaden. The trip takes about 2 hours 47 minutes, with tickets around €24 (approximately $26).
- Bus: FlixBus to Salzburg, then transfer to bus 840 (Watzmann Express) to Berchtesgaden, about 45 minutes.
From Salzburg:
- Bus: Take bus 840 (Watzmann Express) from Salzburg main station or Mirabellplatz, about 45 minutes to Berchtesgaden.
Within the Town:
Berchtesgaden is compact and walkable. To reach the Eagle’s Nest, take bus 838 to Obersalzberg, then transfer to the dedicated bus going up the mountain.
